Day 01- Negombo
Negombo is a city located close to the airport where you will spend your first night. The next day you could proceed to the city of Negombo to do a small city tour. Negombo is a fishing hamlet nestled in the heart of the west coastal tourist zone. The history of Negombo goes back to the era of the Portuguese. During the Dutch era, Negombo was one of the most important sources of Cinnamon.
Geographically, Negombo is situated by the shores of a lagoon by the same name, which once was a trading port for Portugese and Dutch and is an ideal place for those who want quick access to and from the airport. Attractions in the city are the old Dutch fort gate built in 1672 now a part of the prison, the Dutch Canal which was then a supply route to the Dutch administration, old churches and fishing villages.

Day 02– Sigiriya
Today, Sigiriya offers her visitors a gallery of 5th - century paintings completed with landscaped gardens unrivalled and unmatched by any contemporary citadel in the world. At 600 feet, the view from the royal pavilion is arrestingly beautiful. The boulder and the pleasure gardens, admired for 1,500 years, reflect the skill and the technique of the early engineers. The principles used in the design of the gardens, as well as in the construction of both symmetric and asymmetric structures, speak highly for the art and architecture of 5th century Sri Lanka. Sigiriya has become a goldmine for archaeologists and art historians. While stone was used at the basement and ground - floor levels, the upper - floor levels were all made out of tropical wood which was generally used for the construction of pavilions and other edifices.

Day 03– Kandy
The ancient city of Kandy, located in Sri Lanka’s centre, is known to be the country’s cultural capital and an example of Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage. This beautiful city in the hills is ideal for relaxing and reflecting. The City is home to the tooth relic of the Lord Buddha and it is housed in the famous ‘Dalada Maligawa’ or ‘Temple of the Tooth’, which attracts thousands to the city every year including devotees as well as visitors who come to marvel at the beautiful architecture and art of the temple. Kandy is also home to many other old temples and other landmarks, including the amazing Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.

Day 04– Kandy 
The Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya is situated about 5.5 km to the west from the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lankaand attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is renowned for its collection of a variety of orchids. It includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to i is the National Herbarium. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall. It is managed by the Division of National Botanic Gardens of the Department of Agriculture.

Day 05– Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya, known as the garden city of Asia for its hills, valleys and waterfalls, is 6,182 feet above sea level and is situated at the foot of Mount Pidurutalagala, Sri Lanka's highest peak. Nuwara Eliya was discovered in 1819 by Sir Samuel Baker, the famous explorer who discovered the source of the Nile. Thereafter, an English village was established, the remains of which can still be seen. The colonial government habitually moved to Nuwara Eliya for 3 months of the year: March, April and May, when Colombo was warm and humid. Since then, thousands of domestic and foreign tourists stopover in Nuwara Eliya, to relish the salubrious climate, play golf, enjoy the park, admire the high grown tea plantations, visit the Hakgala gardens and travel to Worlds End at Horton Plains, where there is a sudden drop in the terrain of several thousand feet.

Day 06– Udawalwe 
The Udawalawe National Park, located approximately 200 km south-east of Colombo, is home to one of the largest herds of wild elephants in the country. This massive nature reserve is ideal to observe the habits of these amazing creatures and learn more about their ways. It will not be uncommon for you to see herds of elephants roaming the grasslands or drinking at watering holes in Udawalawe. You will travel with an experienced guide that will get you as close to them as safety will allow. Extreme care needs to be taken when approaching a wild elephant but it will still be an extremely fulfilling experience watching these beautiful and intelligent creatures.

Day – 07–Udawalwe / Unawatuna
Unawatuna is a coastal village in the Galle district of Sri Lanka located 125km south of Colombo (the capital of Sri Lanka). Unawatuna is a major tourist attraction and famous for its beautiful beach and corals. This beach is 4 Km long and rank amongst the twelve best beaches in the world. It is also named as “The Best Beach in the World" by Discovery Television Channel.
Unawatuna beach is a paradise for all those who yearn to enjoy the silence of the sea,swim and dive deep into the clear blue waters of the ocean. There is a well-preserved coral reef protecting the beach, which makes it perfectly a safe haven for bathing and an ideal base for snorkeling.

Day 08– Colombo
The buzzing and Vibrant City of Colombo is Sri Lankas commercial capital that plays host to a mixture of a modern metropolis which echoes the remnants of a colonial era. Visit the commercial area of Fort, so named because of its use by the Portuguese and Dutch as a fort, where you can see through the architecture of many old buildings. Explore the street markets of Pettah that brings together the diverse colours and flavors of a multi ethnic and multi-cultural society. You could also visit the Colombo National Museum for a glimpse of Sri Lanka’s Rich culture and history.  The picturesque Galle Face Green and the serene Viharamahadevi Park are also places you can experience in Colombo, not forgetting the many Temples, Mosques and churches with their own rich and colourful histories.
